My eldest son has booked flights to Girona with Ryanair in the Summer to fly out to us. These were booked in October when the schedules came out. Today he has been notified that the flight time for the outbound flight has been brought forwards 6 hours. This makes it inconvenient as we cannot pick him up from Girona now as we shall be picking up younger son from Barcelona. It als neasns them having to get up in the middle of the night (or not go to bed) in order to get to the airport. They will allow him to change flights. He has to cancel the booking in both directions and re-book. But of course prices are now significantly higher and he has to pay the new price!
I was under the impression that Ryanair had decided to improve their public image.
Now they will take a taxi to the resort (quoted price E65) becsuase this is the cheaper option rather than change flights and risk not getting a booking on either the out or return flight.
Grrrr.
Rant over
It's got nothing to do with Ryanair's public image. All airlines change schedules. The earlier you book the more the chance of flight time changes, or even route cancellations.
