We have just returned from a short break to Amsterdam & on the morning of our flight home we received a text message telling us our KLM flight was cancelled,they explained that they were 'looking into a solution & would be in touch', no explanation or anything. We decided to go to the airport anyway to try find out something & get re booked onto another flight before the seats all went as there were 4 of us to fit onto another flight. No one at the airport could tell us why our flight had been cancelled & the earliest flight they could ft the 4 of us onto was 12 hours later!! We weren't very happy to say the least and have put in a claim for compensation. Does anyone know if the rules for claiming compensation for a cancelled flight are the same as for a delayed flight? Also would any helpful peeps (maybe Dazbo?) know why our flight was cancelled? It was flight number: KL0957 AMS to NCL Thurs 29th May 10.10am . Thanks as I'd be really interested to know why it was cancelled at such short notice.
