So, as you can see from my user name I am actually a first time flyer so I am scared as to what to expect. So I have decided to throw myself into it by going to Tokyo in Japan, a really long flight lol.
Now you have probably all heard this before so apologies if it is annoying or if it is posted on this forum regularly.
Basically I am looking at flight routes and have these options:
1. Air France, stops at Paris, then onto Tokyo (goes through Russia)
2. Air China, Stops in Hong Kong, then onto Tokyo (Goes through Russia)
3. Qatar Airways, Stops at Doha, then onto Tokyo (Goes through Iran and Pakistan)
4. Cathay, Stops at Hong Kong, then onto Tokyo (Goes through Iraq and Syria)
FYI: I am also on a budget so am unable to do direct flights so these are the options I am left with.
Here are the reasons and my worries below.
1. Air France - I'm not keen on this because of the recent happenings in France and also I have heard that this airline is not very good.
2. Air China - I am not keen on this because I have read that Air China is not very good.
3. Qatar Airways - I feel a little uncomfortable stopping at Doha and flying over such high risk countries
4. Cathay - Even though this airline looks amazing flying over Syria and Iraq scares the hell out of me.
Again I apologise if these fears seem illogical or even ridiculous, but since a lot of people here are seasoned flyers I would love some help, opinions, and knowledge
Thanks again
