I noticed that there is no section for this on here but asit covers so many different topics maybe a section for them could be created. I
have been on 2 of these in the last 6 weeks and both companies did what they
wanted to do and think that’s OK. The first one was Solos who advised a holiday in Corfu andwhen the guests first arrived the hotel was ready but never told them before
they travelled just let them arrive and find out. They did put them in another
hotel but it doesn’t change the fact they took away their right to be informed.we
when all arrived we expected what the web and the broucher said newly
refurbhied hotel for 2016. We found that only 6 rroms had been done. Solos in
an email complaint I sent them said that because the brouchers are printed
months in andvance they had no control over theis, however they did inspect the
hotel in late May even though it was supposed to open at the begging on May and
said that it’s a small family business and they just ran out of money. But they
were arrsured that everything would be running. The rep told us that the
manager only looked at the 4 rooms that were done and signed the hotel off, but
the rest of the hotel was falling apart, things were breaking, it was advertised
that there were hair dryers in the room and there weren’t the ladies wasn’t happy.
One womans fridge door fell off, it took them 3 fridges to get it right before
that in the end she had 3 fridge’s in her room no one moved them. Another guy
next door to me his toilet would not flush he told the rep and the rep gave him
a bucket to thrown down the loo, or he said
if you want to use the loo then go down to repetition or use mine, I said
you can use mine if you like.He then found out that he loo just didn’t break it hadbroken the week before and no one came to fix it. I am disabled and I asked for
airport asstanice it never happened, I asked for a ground floor room it never happen,
when I got there the rep watch me struggle with my suitcase up 40 steps and
when I had to come back for my carry on said to me oh I didn’t notice you had a
stick if you would have asked me I would have carried your case for you. Do disabled people need to ask? The breakfast was supposed to be continental style thisconsisted of cheap supermarket bread, supermarket cheese, supermarket ham, and
every other day we had boiled egg but no ham. Cheap coffee and tea, the orange
juice was let down it wasn’t fresh, the kitchens could not cook any food as
such for meal we have to go to a restaurant for our meals. The rep well I have worked for first choice and this guy hadnever been a rep in his life, he didn’t have a clue, he was rude, Then I come back I am back 3 weeks then I went to Turkey witTravel one and I was told by email on the 08/07/2016 when I asked how many
people were going and I still have the email the reservations manager said
there will be 5 of you there for you stay 3 men and 2 women. When I got there I
found out that on the 02/07/2016 the 2 women had canaled their bookings and
there was just myself and another guy there and yet again no airport asstanice
had been arranged. If I and the other guy would have known we would have candled
and got a refund, but these companies think more about money than doing the
right thing. I was also surprised to see that a lot of people that go on theses
holidays think ATOL is the same as ABTA and when I told them it wasn’t I am
sure you can imanagin the sock on their faces. It leaves all these companies to
do what they want without no comeback whos going to regulate them? They have
your money they don’t care what happens to you and then they are just looking
for the next mugs to come along.
