Have you tried Direct Holidays they done a great deal for a friend of mine giving a single parent discount.
Quite a few tour operators do a discount for single parents - this usually means the first child pays adult price minus a discount and then the second child pays first child price (or goes free if a free-child-place is available) I got a really great deal from Sunset quite a few years ago (1999 to be exact) - I paid adult price for myself, first child price for the oldest and the younger one went free and, because it was 'low season' there were no room supplements for a lovely spacious one-bedroomed apartment! Unfortunately, deals like that just aren't available any more - but if you ask your travel agent they'll be able to show you which brochures have the best offers for you. Usually the discounts apply to specific dates and specific 'studios' rather than bigger apartments.
I have 10 year old triplets and would love to know if there are any reputable ABDA bonded companies that cater for the single parent taking their children abroad.
Eurocamp has discounts for single parents who are members of either Gingerbread or One Parent Families outwith the high season. They have their Arrival Survival offer which runs for arrivals before 30 June and basically means that they will take your children off your hands when you arrive to allow you time to unpack etc. I don't know of anyone who has used this so I can't comment other than to say that it's in their brochure.
Do you know of any reputable holiday company where you can book a hotel in a resort that, specifically, puts single parents together, where the brochure advises that it is suitable for single parents, so I know I'm not going to be the only one there!
I know Portland Holidays cater for single parents, but putting them together, I don't know. Try to contact them,
I was hoping someone can tell me of any specialist companies that do single parent holidays, I have for the past 3 years paid for my son as a adult. Which proves very expensive,
Cheers

Slightly off topic but in a caravan 2 years ago in France, the price was X for the caravan, and you could have had 4 kids and 2 adults and it would have remained at that price. Me as third adult, sharing a room with the one child and we have to pay £100 extra per week? When I took up no extra space than a second child would have? Ridiculous and unfair.
EDIT: Thanks BHIC, but members posting here are looking for personal recommendations, rather than Google search results which they can easily find themselves.

Or how about, if there are 3 of you (1 adult 2 children) costing the holiday on 3 adults? Often this saves you money as you're not charged any underoccupancy (in a studio or room for 3 for example).

YOu may also wish to check out smallfamilies.co.uk

Karen I posted the direct link to that site, but David has removed it.
David, whislt I appreciate I have never personally made use of the two Companies to which I provided a link for, one of my neighbours has and she is a Single Parent and I know that she uses 'Smallfamilies.co.uk' as I found this Company for her on the Internet two or three years ago, which is why, in good faith, I posted the link.
As I said before, members are looking for personal feedback and recommendations rather than Google results and links which they could easily find themselves, even if one of those companies was used by your neighbour.

An expensive jaunt maybe, but Virgin Holidays do 'single parent hotels' in Florida - one being the excellent Rodeway Inn on International Drive (which we were going to stay at next year, but got an upgrade due to an excellent Virgin deal)....
