I booked midday Monarch flights with Love Holidays in September. When Monarch went into administration I was given replacement flights arriving in Malaga after 11pm and returning to Gatwick after 11pm. These are wholly unsuitable as I have 2 young children. I couldn't get through to Love Holidays so I asked them to cancel the holiday. They have quoted £992 to cancel the flights, even though they are nothing like the original ones I booked. They did not offer me the flights or provide any accompanying information about my consumer rights. When I contacted Easy Jet they quoted an additional £380 to book midday flights. The ATOL protection that was meant to protect my money is now being used to trap me in a holiday which is not suitable. So far I have only paid £378 in deposit, but the company are saying I ma liable for the additional £662. Any advice? I have been to Citizens Advice and they have suggested I complain to ATOL and ABTA which I will do.
