We have had to cancel a holiday departing yesterday
We booked refundable accommodation and noted that we could cancel this until 7 days before and get a full refund , we confirmed this also by phone
We phoned to cancel on Monday , expecting nothing back , and were told they could only refund us flight taxes and nothing else.
Later I noted in a section of the terms that where cancellation was given 0 to 48 hours there would be a 25per cent refund less admin fees , the following day I got an e/mail stating we would get about 40pc of holiday cost back . This is more than expected so I am unwilling to contact in case they have made a mistake
Total cost of holiday Pds3200 and refund offered Pds 1260
Has anyone been in this situation before , or can clarify their actual policy .
We do have travel insurance for the rest
Hi Norma I'm getting an error message when trying to look at their holiday cancellation charges. However, best to wait for their cheque/bank transfer to arrive to see exactly how much they are refunding you. Hopefully £1260.
Have you contacted your insurance company? If so have they agreed to repay you the difference?
