--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi all
Well we've finally made a decision and booked 10 days 17 May at Paraiso Dunas. Is there anyone else from forum going at same time? Maybe meet up for a chat and a drink - on me of course! ha ha! We're really looking forward to it as we didn't want to be in the middle of town and by the looks of it we're anything but. Hoping to be far enough from shops so I don't get dragged to them every day. Yes, I'm a rare breed - a woman who hates shopping of all descriptions. Will let you all know the facts on the place when I get back. Hope it's all good news!!! Off to brush up on my Spanish now! Thanks again to all who helped me with advice Now looking for tips on where to go in this area. Looking forward to the jeep safari, camel park, parrot park and boat trips.

I was looking in Tenerife album . Great pics llihp! Though judging by the surrounding area I don't have to worry about packing any flip-flops!!! Navvy boots'll be better. I can't wait to see the Mother in Law's face when she sees where we've landed but the hotel will more than make up for it. The lounge area looks fantastic!! And I can't wait to get in that pool. May seems such a long time away now. All I need now is to get over my terror of flying!

Just got back from Playa Paraiso,my wife went into the hotel to look around and said it looked pretty good.Playa Paraiso was very very quiet to say the least.still managed to get a beer for one and a half euro.
Best Resturant we found was the Cafe Francis 2,nice menu they also bring you a bottel of wine(free) to round off your meal. The best bar was the Cocktail Blue by the Sea,all in all the rest of the bars were very tatty indeed.
You can catch a Titsa bus to Los Gigantes for 1.90 euros from the main street.

Really looking forward to going apart from reports on the resort itself. Will try your recommendations, though if we go there. Been looking at Los Gigantes on their website and it looks like a nicer place for a change of scene if we fancy leaving the hotel. Got to keep the M-I-L happy or we'll all be miserable! Good to know we can shot of her for less than 2 Euros!!

i just wanted to give a little feedback from what i know
the hotel is now open fully apart from the 2 speciality rest, these were set back due to bad weather and materials were damaged.
with regards ti the pool this is now a healthy 26 degrees daily and will be ajusted acording to climate
the main buffet rest is now also having meals suach as italian and chinese as well as ther main buffet due to the other 2 not being ready,
I have been in contact with the hotel daily since i booked myself and have 21 days to go, I have every faith that it will be fine from, now on as i have been sending these reports to them direct and they were shocked to see how many ppl were complaining about the food amongst other things.
I am also taking my in-laws although i have paid for some reson but still could have changed it to another htl on several occasions.
If any of you have any questions regarding the htl please drop me a line and can have a natter
P.S. If you would like to see new pics of the hotel please click onto tui finnish website scroll down slightly and click on the camera icon there are 18 pics and guess what some are real ones and not artist impression that us travel agents hate.

Looks like things improving well. We have 9 weeks to go so I'll look forward to your review. Have tried the link for pics but page not avail. However, the latest ones on this gallery look great Just love that pool and even more now that we know it's to be acclimatised. Hope the restaurants are ready for your hol. It'd be a shame to not have all the amenities that made it such an attractive choice. The pool is more inviting to me cos the M-I-L doesn't swim so it's a good size to escape into!! He He ( only joking, I love her to bits)
Have also contacted hotel and awaiting reply. Have suggested they address comments on forum. Thought if someone else got to them, they may get the food soted if nowt else. Maybe others want to try too

Dear Sirs,
Thank you very much for your email and the comments.
We are sorry to hear about the receiving bad reports inspite of the huge
improving we did especialy considering the food.
We will consider your proposition as soon as possible. It is in fact of very
great importance.
Our hotel is quite finished yet. There are no building works going on and we
are sure that the speciality restaurants will be ready in May.
We hope to see you in May enjoying your holiday and we are looking forward
to welcome you in the sunny Tenerife in our Dunas Paraiso****.

Its good to see they intend to veer in the right direction and keep customers happy. Teething problems are inevitable, but it looks like they have every intention of sorting them.
Would be great to see more hotels taking an active interest in their guests comments. Maybe we should invite all hotels PRs to join forum eh?
Just seen an excellent report in hotel reviews. Looks like they're managing to sort out the delays! 5 weeks to go 8) 8)!!!!!
I have got loads of info on this hotel, now, thanks to all the help from this forum. However, I can't find out exactly where it is.
Is it in Playa Paraiso or Costa Adeje?
I have seen it addresed as both and am now quite confused. With being a new hotel, it isn't on any of the maps I've seen. It looks to be in the middle of nowhere, but the hotel website says it's 0km from beach and resort centre.
If someone can help me and maybe point me in the direction af a map and a point of reference on it, I'd really appreciate it.
I'm not sure exactly where the hotel is, but the confusion is that Costa Adeje is the area or county, so the hotel could be in Paraiso, which is in Costa Adeje!
It's definitely in Playa Paraiso. I was staying in Paraiso a few weeks ago at the Bahia Principe. The Dunas is the other side of the town (ie to the west), so a wee bit further from Costa Adeje than the Bahia.
Thanks! That's cleared up that confusion! Not long now
d'ont expect much of a beach!!!!!!!!!
