My mum and dad are interested in visiting Malta perhaps in may as it wouldn't be too hot then about 70ish? They are both in their mid sixties and usually holiday "at home" cornwall and yorkshire being their favourites, they have only been abroad twice to Alicante to see family, and are bit unsure of "foreign soil"
Looking through the reviews etc on here i think that Sliema would perhaps be the most suitable resort? they like sitting on seafronts, a bit of walking/sightseeing although they struggle with hills and steep slopes, i have looked at some hotels such as , Imperial, Waterfront, Plaza Regency, Victoria, most have good reviews , some poor, on here and elsewhere.
They would probably want HB but there seems to be plenty of restaurants around and they like eating out and some of the hotel reviews have mixed thoughts about the food. So your opinions would be welcome as to the above hotels or ones like them i've missed and also whether to go BB or HB, also whats the average price for an evening meal?
Thanks Andy.
Hi Andy, Sliema would be perfect for your parents, however, the Imperial hotel is areally nice hotel but it is at the top of a quite steep incline, they would be better of in somewhere like the Plaza Regency which is on Tower Road (Triq il-torri) overlooking the bay, hope this helps, please ask if you need any more info.
