hi all, the community meeting where we bought our turkish property is on in july and we will not be able to attend, can anyone tell me if i am able to appoint someone to attend on my behalf? can they be a turkish person?im sure every community is different and has their own rules but would anyone have a general idea about this.ive managed to get a copy of the rules of the community when the previous owners lived there but as they are in turkish im in the process of getting then translated ,i know there are different rules for different communitys as my friends are having a lot of hassle with theirs as there are a lot of foreginers i.e. irish, english, dutch living there and she is having trouble not being able to attend her yearly meetings and they wont let her appoint anyone else and also the fees keep changing and they are not being informed of whats happening, as this is our first year of owning our property and as we are only the second foregin(irish) family to buy there im a bit dubious at the moment and dont want my idea of my future home to turn nasty i wondered if anyone had any advice to offer , thanks in advance karen

I know people within the Fethiye area who have appointed someone to represent them in the past without too much of a problem.
Hi Karen
You have to put it in writing that you are giving this person the power to vote on your behalf.
