We went to Malta a few years ago and stayed in Sleima and visited several of the resorts. We are considering going in May to Buggiba/Qawra but after reading so many opinions which are unfavourable I am wondering if any hotels measure up to the 3*/4* which we go to in Spain.
We are retired but like a fairly lively resort with friendly bars and a bit of entertainment. Please can anyone who goes regularly offer some advice.
Is it correct that Beer and spirits (eg Gin and lemonade or Brandy)are like our prices.
many thanks
Check out The Coastline Hotel and the San Anton Hotel
I stayed at the Qawra Palace Hotel over christmas ans in my view it is as good as any 4 star place in Spain. the food was superb. The bar are close to what you would in the UK
Sorry, I meant to say that the bar prices are close to what you would pay in the UK
Hello Peter, Since Malta joined the E U like most holiday resorts in the Med the prices of most things have gone up from bread to bus fares, but the bad news is that the bar price went up also. The worst news of all though is that if you like a drop of spirits to bring home, well in the shops in Malta must have put it up double I think it is cheaper in our supermarkets now. So if you intend to buy some you should get it from your Britsh airport before you fly to Malta or just bye it at home.
