hi all, just wondered if anyone has stayed at the epic hotel, were going on 29th may
we stayed at the club julian last yr and we think its near to there
hope you can help
thanx d
Stayed at Epic a few years ago. Basic rooms, clean.
Hotel itself is quite good - excellent upstairs sun terrace away from the kids at the pool
Couple of bars in the hotel - at night it seemed to be endless karaoke, dont know if that is still the case.
A few bars, restaurants close by if you get fed up with the hotel.
"Great Corner" restaurant ,100yards from hotel, is a must,( if it still there.)
yes the epic is right next door to the julian
i'm going to the epic on the 9th of may and cant wait as i've not been to marmaris since 1997 and am looking forward to seing how much its changed. anyway i'll give a review of it when i get back
Epic apart hotel has a good reputation and I stayed there on my 1st visit. 100 yds is the Great corner restaurant and definately worth a try. The owners are from Marmaris and give great value for money. ( no I am not on commission.... although I might have a word with Harry!!)
Looking forward to hearing the reviews. We go on the 18th August
thanx for the replies, it sounds as though its a good place to stay
a very good turkish friend of mine works at the hotel for the last 3 years he has just phoned me with some alarming news that there is no tourist in marmaris he reckons there is about 20 people in the hotel just now and he is thinking of going home to istanbul if anybody is over there just now could they keep us upto date with how busy the resort is i am going over on the 9th june dont want to arrive to a ghost town. if it is that quite when will the tour operator drop there prices because its still expensive for flights from scotland
Stayed at the Epic last year. Had a great time. The Great Corner restaurant is a must. Say hi to Harry!
I cant understand why the Epic is empty as I stayed at the Julian next door and it was full last week.
Hello all, thinking about trying Turkey in July this year; (2 kids; boy 11 & 15 year old daughter). Looking at Epic Hotel but only reviews are years old. Also is Marmaris really like Blackpool? Looking for nothing too 'jumpy ' Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hi ive stayed at the hotel next door it looks a lovely hotel my sister stopped she said it was nice Marmaris is what you make it there is the lively side or were the epic is slower quieter place its a short dolmus ride to the centre .
I've stayed at the Epic. Don't go to visit the jewellery store "owned" by one of the waiters brothers. It's a load of rubbish. He is on commission and walked off in such a huff when we didn't buy anything although we'd told him we'd been to Turkey loads and got our jewellery. We didn't get served round the pool for the rest of our stay Entertainment was mainly LOUD music with barman/Manager dancing. There were breakdancers one evening and a karaoke night. Great Corner was fabulous for food although my daughter told me it had a rental board up this year in Feb???
hiya we went with one of the barmen to a little jewlers at the begining of the indor market we had a lovely chain madeor my daughters 18th excellent service and great quality he also has a shop across the rd from the hotel and a resaurant i think his name was jimmy.i loved the epic but now much prefer altinkum
