We were in the marina suites in Jan you will have no problems there great. Rooms modern clean and look like they been stlyed by an interior designer. Pool area is blinging nice loungers eternity pool and 2 jacuzzis to rear. Pool bar nice clean, bit more expensive than outside, but only significantly so if you are catering for large family, if theres only 2 of you worth the extra couple of euros for convienece. Ask for a poolside room as these get the sun all day long nice to chill on balcony with book. The other side did not see the sun till late afternoon.

Planning on going to Marina Suites in Aug, can anyone tell me what the food is like and is there much for an 11 year old boy to do, ie, pool table, etc?

Hi Kaz, we went there in January of this year, it's really a great place. Comfortable clean modern rooms. There was a snooker table near the pool as I remember and a dart board. The pool is really nice, and although we didn't take any children with us, thoose that were there seemed quite happy.
We went self catering so cannot comment on the hotel menu, but the poolside bar served very nice food.
If your young one gets bored its not far to the centre of puerto rico to take a look at things to do.
Hope somebody else can help you with the food issue, but I'm sure you will be fine.

We are off there in two weeks time for a week and judging by the reviews I have seen of these properties on various review sites they seen very good.

will post a honest review when I get back. Booked it through Eclipsedirect, part of the first choice group and seems very good value for money - we shall see!!

The apartments look great.

Hoping to hire a car and look around the island some more as well.

My in-laws went to these apts in late April and were very impressed. Mother-in-law said the rooms were very spacious and clean and they spent most of their time by the pool (they are beach lovers) because it was so nice and relaxing.

She said there was entertainment for the kids too. They've booked to go back in January and we're looking to go with them in April!

We've just come back from the Marina Suites, I can honestly say they are one of the best and cleanest hotels I've stayed in. Rooms are absolutly spotless and spacious. The kitchen area is hidden by door panels which when you open you will find everything you need and it's all brand new. The pool area is to die for - actually overlooks the sea. Sun beds are plentiful and new. Everyone who works there are so polite and helpful. Views are all good, you'll either have a view over looking the pool or the harbour (we had the harbour) we are going back and this time have requested a pool view (for a change) We ate out most of the time - so not sure what the food is like, but if it's anything like the rest of the suites it will be great.
Relax you've made a great choice - I'm sure you'll get extra 'brownie points' when your wife gets there and sees what a good choice you've made..

Sorry I could not reply to you earlier, but I was on holiday in Salou. I am sure your Wife will find the Marina suites spotless, and they are positioned in the quiet part of Puerto Rico. Have you been to the Canary Islands before or Puerto Rico. If you have you will know Puerto Rico can be a bit commercialised, with touts hanging round on street corners. If your wife is fussy I think will be the only thing that will bother her, as they can be quiet a pest.
The area the suites are in were a tout free area, with no noise at night and beautiful views of the fishing boats and the millionaires yaughts.
Bare in mind if your Wife finds the main part of PR a little noisy there are always other parts of the island to discover, with Puerto Mogan being a popular one. You can catch a boat from the harbour area, or a bus at the side of the park further into the centre, or be brave and hire a car and discover the quieter side of Gran Canaria.
As you could see from the pictures that another member posted the suites are modern, stylish and clean. A cockroach free zone which also can be hard to find in the Canary Islands.
I am sure you and your Wife will enjoy your holiday, and don't forget to give us a review when you get back.

Just got back today from Marina Suites. They are beautiful. the pool area is stunning and the views are fab. the rooms are large and airy and well stocked. the staff were very quiet and efficient.

The whole complex is spotless, and is likely to remain so with the amount of cleaning that goes on! But its not in your face cleaning!

Will do a a proper review later this week, but do not worry about going there, it was beautiful.

One downside, Puerto rico is naff - get a taxi and go to Puerto morgan in the evenings. Is lovely and quiet and fab food - which is more than I can say bout Puerto Rico! The only good restuarant there is called Oscars which is by the the harbour (other one from the one by Marina Suites) - expensive but excellent .

Hello, i am looking for a hotel in Puerto Rico or Playa Del Ingles. Have spotted the Marina Suites which obviously looks and sound brilliant. Am just concerned that it may be a little quiet and out too far for my 5 female friends and I all aged between 27 and 45.

We are looking for a great place to relax by day with superb surroundings which i think the marina will offer. We are not into the major clubbing scene but we are interested in a few good bars with atmosphere. So is the centre close enough.

And if anyone has been in September please give me a weather report. I am from OZ and im sure it wont be roasting but hoping for at least a few good rays to give me my tan back that the english weather has taken away from me.... cheers!!!

It costs just 2 1/2 euros in a taxi to the main commercial centre where all of the nightlife is really and about 3 euros to the europa centre.

there are bars and that quite close. We got chatting to quite a few people who were there with mates and they felt it was spot on location wise.

Its a good place to go.

Anyone been to Marina Suites in PR? Is there much going on for kids, ie pool table? Judging by the various reviews it looks gorgeous but not sure if it's geared for kids or more suited for couples.

We were there in January, and as you say it is a very lovely establishment. At that time there were quite a few children there, but I did not see an organised childrens club, although none of the kids looked unhappy, in fact quite the opposite, all running round having a great time.There is a pool table, dart board and also a table with games on.
If you want to know for sure why don't you e-mail them to confirm if they have a childrens entertainer.
