Hi Wilma. There is another thread about this hotel on page 3 I think. We have just booked for August as all the comments and reports have been excellent. When are you thinking of going?

Not planning to go until later on inthe year. Thinking of this Hotel or the Kahramana. We are not too keen on huge Hotels

Hi all in HT land.

I'm just looking for some info. on the Iberotel Lido Sharm in Naama Bay.Doesn't seem like many folk have posted any reviews this year.

Stayed in the Tropicana Rosetta last year and I can't wait to go back to Sharm!

I missed tonights Holidays Uncovered regarding the building work.As I've heard, this is taking place on the outskirts of town so shouldn't be a problem.

Hi wilma9000

We meet some people in April who were staying at the Iberotel and they had no problems said it was very nice, they were carrying out some building works - strengthening I believe but this didnt seem to effect them, location wise its very good 5 mins from town centre. We were staying at the Kahramana at the same time and have booked to go back for the New Year the staff couldnt do enough for you and the hotel was very clean and again location wise was 5 mins from town centre but yet is very quiet.

I believe the Iberotel is a little more expensive than Kahramana but I think all rooms have a sea view. If we hadnt been able to book Kahramana we would have booked the Iberotel.

Hope this helps

The hotel and its location are better than the Kahramana plus they have a fab floating restaurant too.

Hi everyone. I've just come back from Sharm and the Iberotel Lido is right near the main centre of Naama bay. It is a really central hotel and I think I'd be tempted to try this one when we go back. I would say it's only a 3 or 4 minute walk max to places like KFC, Hard Rock Cafe and McDonalds. We stayed at the Sonesta beach which is a lot further along.

If I had to choose between the Iberotel Lido and the Kahramana I'd go for the Lido. Just because it is right on the beach. I'm not exactly sure where the Kahramana is, but from the brochures it doesn't seem to have it's own bit of the bay and Naama bay is pretty much all segregated into privately owned bits of beach by the various hotels from what we saw.

Obviously I can't comment on what the actual hotels are like though! I did love Sharm though and can't wait to go back! I hope this helps.

Looking forward to the On Deck Experience at the LIdo.

I'm flying out from Glasgow on the 27th of November and I'm counting the days! Stayed in the Tropicana Rosetta last year but the Lido looks far superior.Check it out on http://www.iberotel.com

The Lido is absolutely fantastic! You will not be disappointed!

I've written a review in the Hotel Reviews section - Davies travelling May 2006 - if its any help!

P.S. I've also just noticed it's rated #10 out of 109 hotels on the TripAdvisor website!! :D

Both the Lido and Kharamana are small hotels compared to the big giants that have mushroomed up in Sharm but the Lido is a much better class, on the beach, next to the main area of Naama but not really right in the middle ( better ), and has superb views from the pool terrace, ( and most rooms - but try and avoid the rooms on the south side as you get noise from the dive boats and that ).

Has anybody stayed at the Iberotel Lido I E-mailed them to see if they have Internet (wi-Fi) available in the hotel rooms as I want to take my Laptop with me for business purposes but they never answered my question properly so I wondered if anybody out there knows if they have. :que
