Greetings friends - as you say Tony, you turn up everywhere. There was an article on easyCruise in the Travel section of yesterday's Evening Standard and they seem to think it was good fun, though one would certainly need sun glasses with all that orange around. Apparently the Sports Bar has a live band, disco and small dance floor and the staff are very helpful. With cheap flights I can see it appealing to some of the (much) younger crowd but I just know it wouldn't be for me.

Maybe they will do themed cruises......like "hoody-yobs slapping cruise".

Then they could sink the ship and sort out all our anti-social behaviour problems in one foul swoop!

I don`t think you will be seeing me climbing on the ship/boat with my skateboard under one arm either!!

I've just come back from the Melody on a DE cruise and in St Tropez our ship was doced next to the EasyCruiseOne. I've got to say it looked very empty and very small, it doesn't have much open deck space. Also, on the Easyjey flight there was an artical in their magazine which said that it was at sea most days and docked at night. I get the impression that it's more of a party type cruise so you can get off at night for the bars etc. So it looks like they're aiming for quite a young market

It might be good if you want a few days away to do St Tropez and Monaco combined with EZ flights but if you work out the cost over a week it's more expensive than many internet deals for ships like the Melody which include all your food for £399.

Just my opinion but it didn't look that nice compared to the other ships we saw. Yet to see any full reviews, it will be interesting reading.

Has anyone ventured forth on the Jolly Cruiser EASYCRUISE1?

All tips and comments welcomed - have decided to forget Turkey .. too darn hot .. and wondered if there would be enough to see on a week with Stelios and co.

How good's the food on board (I know it's for British tastes), but a cooked English breakfast is a real treat for me!!

Who was the person that said you had to take your own sheets and towels with you on Easy Cruise?? :?

]How often will my cabin be serviced / cleaned?

Solution:
Cabins are serviced / cleaned by our staff once per booking prior to your check-in. So the cabin will be clean and ready for when you arrive. If you require your cabin to be serviced / cleaned during your stay on board you must arrange this on board with the Hotel Manager at a cost of GBP10 or Euro 15 per visit. This includes change of towels and bed linen and replacement soap. Contrary to some earlier reports, there is no need to do anything with housekeeping when disembarking.
:D

We are going Sunday (Me & Hubby both 52) Daughter meeting us onboard, she has been backpacking around the South of France,so thought it a nice way to meet up, we are boarding in Monaco and going around the Italian Rivieva, done it by road before, but thought this would be a nice way to travel for a change. Then back to Nice for a week in a hotel there.
Will let you know how it goes. Think EasyCruise One should be added to the reviews.

Hi Cathy

I shall ask for Easy Cruise One to be added to the reviews section. This may take a few days to be added.

issey when they started the business plan it was in there that no bed linen would be included but then quickly worked out that on most airlines that would use up most of the baggage allowance!

looking forward to hearing how easy cruise was.... when i saw it in st tropez it looked small (there were bigger yachts in the area) uploaded a pic of the ship in the phot album

I managed to catch the programme on Friday.

Despite the problems with docking the ship and tenders (rough seas but it looked like a duckpond!), transfer problems, bright orange cabins, paying extra for everything and lack of facilities the presenter loved it! She even said that she was going back with a gang of friends.

She also thought it odd for such a budget cruise line to call at some of the most expensive places in Europe if not the world. It certainly wouldn't appeal to everyone but for the right type of person (probably a younger party animal) it'll be a fantastic holiday.

Great deal 7 night cruise from Genoa and back, Tuesday to Tuesday, £14 for two. Airflight from Stansted £50.80 for two, with Ryanair, includes taxes. Transfers 8 euros on the public bus. Insureance £17.
Less than £100 for 2, just got to buy food and drink and sunglasses for inside the cabin

Thats a great deal - if you took earplugs and shades it would be ok - you would know what to expect! One of those cruises where you would spend more time off ship than on - a good cheap break but afraid im back at work Tues - only time off now this side of Xmas is the Oct half term :(

Otherwise id consider it for the price for a cheap extra break!
