I remember reading somewhere on this forum that you can get games quite cheap in Turkey. Hopefully someone else will reply with more info. I certainly plan to stock up for my kids if they are cheap enough
You can buy gameboy fakes in marmaris very cheaply - would suggest you take your console with you and test that they work before buying them
We just got back and our kids got 4 for 20 pounds.
Thanks for all your help! I will just wait until I get there then..Would you buy them at the market or in the shops?? I havent been to Turkey for 2 years & cant remember lots of things, but really looking forward to going back! What a great forum this is eh!
I know that the game boy games are sold in Turkey but are the new game boy DS games sold as well if so how much are they?. Thanks
have they started making psp games in marmaris yet, my son got a psp and if they make the games that would be great, stef
No Stef sorry we were there in May and they didn't have any DS games either only gameboy advance games they havent cotton on to these yet
I was in Icmeler and Olu in May of this year my son has a DS and they didn't have any of these games anywhere not even in the bazaar in Marmaris we bought 8 in Icmeler market for 5 pounds each we checked every one and they were fine, we have bought games from this guy before they were the same in Marmaris bazaar although they did try and charge 7.00 at first until we told him we normally pay 5.00 but in Olu they were asking 10 pounds each but we only saw one place with them so well supply and demand.
You can buy them anywhere, just take your Gameboy with you and try them before you buy, the ones with no problems wont mind you doing that as we did last year, If they dont let you try then dont buy its as simple as that.
We bought some last year from the bazaar at Marmaris. Tried them out before we bought them and they worked fine. However after playing the game for a while they then just stop as if they have only copied half the game. Of course only found out once we were back home. My youngest doesn't notice the difference but the oldest does and it's put him off buying any this year - unless anyone can recommend a place?
Icmeler market down the stairs by the chinese if you are coming from the chinese its the 1st set of stairs almost to the end on the left this year he is selling handbags and shoes we have always used them and never had a problem we did try a motorbike game whilst we were there and all of them didnt work he took them off the shelves we have always used him and the games have been fine
Agree with last comment, we bought from the same guy in the market, down stairs, our grandson, nine, bargained with him got down to £4, not bad for a few hours enjoyment
I got 3 for £10 in Bodrum market. Worked perfectly. However one I bought in a shop in Bodrum not so good.
Is this for DS games or normal game boy games as it is the new DS gams that I am interested in buying.
Perry this is for gameboy advance games my son has a DS which he took to Turkey in May this year and nobody had any of these games yet
Thanks ichmeler girl for your reply it has helped me a lot
We managed to buy a Sony PSP in Side, which aren't yet available in the UK, and ordered some games which were couriered to us from Istanbul, which delighted my 14 year old son. Apparently, the copy games for the PSP should also be available by next summer.
Cazz
We bought a Sony PSP in Side last week and the games we bought for it had to be sent by courier from Istanbul. We were told by the shopkeeper that it would be next summer before they have the technology to make their own DS and PSP games ..... my son is already insisting we go back to Turkey again next year and we've only been back a day!
How much was the PSP out there?
