Me and my boyfriend will be visiting Malta for a week in June
While were there we thought we would hire a car and go to Gozo for the day.
Since were only going for the day has anyone got any top sights/bays for swimming etc that are a 'must see' in Gozo? Oviously were going to have to leave a lot out but wondered what to make sure we do see while there.
May thanks in advance
Swimming - best beach is Ramla.
Things to see - depending on your interests, there are so many things to see and do - these are the typical ones - let me know what type of things you like, and I can suggest others
Citadella in Victoria
Ggantija temple
Dweija for the Azure window
for lunch, try the restaurants in Xlendi
before heading back to Malta, pop into Gleneagles bar, near the ferry terminal
best website for info is http://www.gozo.gov.mt/pages.aspx?page=En
Hi there I agree with all of the above but while in Dweija for the Azure window pop down to the inland sea and take the small boat through the opening into the sea. Only 1 Lira last year and well worth it. Also go to the sanctuary at Ta'Pinu (the miracle church) and read all the letters in the little side room. Oh and the church at Xara (tut at spelling!) is most beautifully decorated inside. you pass it going to Calypso cave. There is so much to see in Gozo a day is not enough.
I thought we would head to Dweija and see everything in that general area and proberly swim, then go to Victoria and see Citadella and the general area.
Then fnish going off going to Ramla for a swim before heading back for a drink.
I thought that would sort of be a highlights trip although we tend to always see other bits on our way.
