That's bar prices - i only normally drink wine with meals and if you drink retsina or carafes of house wine with your meal you can get a litre for less than £5! Obviously most places have a wine list so you can spend as much as you want but you can often get a decent bottle for not much more than a fiver.

very hard to say there are are 5 of us so I normally try and work out a budget for each day then times it by days out there !! Kalathos is not dear to eat but depends on how much you want to drink!! We normally just have the breakfast at the hotel then snacks for lunch and then eat out in the evening.

elboy, i holiday in Lindos (i think Kalathos might be a bit cheaper) and will normally spend about £500 over a fortnight. That's just me, it used to be nearly double when i was in a couple but i don't scrimp at all. I never use the self catering facilities so that includes eating out for the full 2 weeks, any snacks/drinks, sunbed everyday, car hire for a couple of days and partying hard everynight of my holiday. Alot of people i know don't spend that much - if you're not sure take x amount with you and your cashcard to draw any money out there should you need to.

its just this is only my second holiday abroad and the first was all inclusive so i took about 350 for a week and come home wiv 100 pound.

Stayed at the Hotel Daniel 2 years ago and really enjoyed it,rooms were basic but spotless staff there were first class very welcoming with some good theme nights i recommend the movie night for something different.The resort is quiet but very friendly and relaxing the windmill do a lovely steak,yannis is good for a late night beer as well.Overall i would go back for a relaxing break and if you want a more livley night jump a cab to Lindos
