:D Hi,

Personally, I would say don't visit these parks. Set the dolphins free....

But that's my personal opinion - I just wonder how they are treated and why they are in captivity in the first place.

It's always been a dream of mine but I will wait until I can swim with them in the natural environment.

I recentley stayed in Belek where they operated an exursion to swim with the dolphins.

I didn`t go but the rep said it costs £40 for 4 minutes.
Rather expensive if there is a family of you wanting to go.

hi all,
someone mentioned a while ago about dolphin reef in eilat, well i can tell you i have been there and its really good, the dolphins are not in captivity at all, they live in the sea and the only mesh/fence that is up is to stop them coming to close to the beach, and they are free to come and go as they please. Usually they choose to come over as they love the fuss and attention they get (and the fish of course!! lol) Dolfin reef is more about diving with the dolphins, rather than swimming with them, but there is a nice beach and a few other things to see there. The underwater observatory is really good.

There is a new excursion that has opened in Guvercinlik near Bodrum to swim with dolphins. I havn't seen it myself, but apparently, there are protests regarding the treatment of the dolphins. I have heard that they have clipped the dolphins fins and they are being kept in a very small holding enclosure. I for one won't be paying 60 euros for the experience.

Hi, i've just come accross this site
http://www.adaland.com/dolphinpark/dolphinpark.htm
I have been to the aquapark in Antalya and I wasn't that happy, seeing the pictures of this one in Kusadasi i would say it looks alot better. If you look at the map of the park you can see that they have 3 big pools for the dolphins.
