The Magnet Tavern is central and about £20 a night, just outside the centre is The Ship Inn on London Road, £40 per room per night for a double room. There are places in the centre of town, e.g.The New England Hotel.and the Red Cow, but they are a bit more expensive. There are also quite a few guest houses, one being Park House, on the corner of Robin Hood`s Walk and Norfolk Street, but don`t know prices.

Thanks for the information, i tried most of them but then stumbled across a travel inn at 98 pounds for the 2 nites i wanted, thought that was most reasonable. Thanks again though.
