Two years ago my husband and I stayed in this hotel and I could not find fault with it. The food was of a high standard and the rooms spotless. The main pool was crowded but another pool by the tennis courts was brillant hardly anyone went there. The only down side I can say is the actual resort not a lot going on there but I would definitely go back to the hotel.Hope this helps

We also stayed in the Balmoral, it was 3 years ago and we had a great time. We travelled with Travel City direct who seemed to have sole righs to the Balmoral up to the end of October 2004.
This year we booked the Balmoral direct with Sol Melia, but we noticed some bad reports appearing on Trip Advisor about the Balmoral.
As we are going the first 2 weeks in October we also were worried that the resort would be to quiet then. We have now cancelled the booking with the Balmoral and opted for a hotel in Magaluf.
We are sad that the Balmoral is getting bad reports this year because we really enjoyed our holiday there.

I stayed at the balmoral three years ago with Airtours on a self catering basis. I believe Airtours still opperates the SC contract for the hotel

Has anyone got any recent info on the Balmoral, apparently its sister hotels in Callas Del Mallorca have a safety issue with the balconies and guests are being transfered to the Balmoral meaning that private bookings for the Balmoral have now been stopped to allow for the over flow from its sister hotels.
