Have found a cheap and cheerful hotel in this area - Atos which has good reviews on Trip Advisor, it is on the basic side which is ok do not mind this at all and is in the Mala Strana area or the area near to Prague Castle and I believe over the river from the Old Town, very picturesque area I believe. Hotel blurb says 1 mile from here to Wenclas Square, anybody know if this is about right, could we walk it easily (we are going in mid December this year). Sounds like a very nice area to stay in - are there lots of places to eat and pubs etc in this area ?
Also as an added bonus anybody know anything about the hotel itself ?
Thanks
Polly
We loved that part of Prague too and it has some great bars and restaurants. Prices were good too compared to more touristy parts. It is easily walkable to all the rest of Prague. We walked from the Castle to the Old Square on icy paths in February (with a very sore twisted ankle) and it was'nt a long walk at all. Everywhere around cenral Prague is very pretty and makes a lovely stroll.
