I have been asking about the lighter and match rules for USA, and it appears you can only take safety matches in a booklet. I have absolutely no idea where to buy these from. Most of the booklets I have had in the past have been freebies from hotels pub etc, with publicity on.
I think it better to attempt to get a book of these before I go so I can have a gasper prior to getting on the plane, and one as soon as I clear the baggage hall.

could this be of any help if you cant find them in the shops:

bellana you don't say where you stay but if there is a shop near you that sells pipes, tobaccos, specialised ciggies etc you should be able to get them there.
It's a good tip, but probably a bit too much messing about and expense to place an individual order, but thanks for your effort anyway.
Helen what a great idea, haven't used a tobocanist in years, more used to buying the 3000 in spain, as an excuse for a holiday. I usually shop either in Barnsley or Sheffield so I will have to look in phone book to find the address of one and enquire.
Cheers Bellana
