My flight was cancelled whilst in the departure lounge at Heathrow.
Lufthansa are refusing compensation as they say they are exempt for cancellations beyond their control. The flight was cancelled due to a technical problem. There was a problem with the fuel pump. Lufthansa say this was unexpected and impossible to predict.
Can anyone advise whether I am entitled to compensation or not.
Did they put you on another flight, if so what was your delay?
No only offered refund for flight
Didn't want to cut and paste out of the safe and sound book but if you look in there under Air Passenger Rights you will see the regulation applied to this and a telephone numbers you can ring to check out what you are entitled to.
