Due to fly to Lanzarote 25th booked with Thomas Cook. Phoned us last week to say Futura have gone into liquidation. Offered us flights from Newcastle going out but returning to Glasgow as that was a different carrier. £25 each compensation. I now have had to organise car hire to Newcastle, overnight in hotel and taxi home from Glasgow. Out of pocket or what.!!!
My daughter and friend were booked to go to Lanzarote on the 9th October for a week flying from Glasgow, they phoned her this weekend to say that there were no flights available and were looking into trying to provide some, they came back and told her that she would have to pay an extra £500 each for them to travel, if she cancels her holiday she will still will only get so much of her money back as she needs to pay a cancellation fee for her accommodation. I feel this is really unfair as she booked this through Cosmos. Has anyone else had the same situation?
dont feel so hard done now shetlandlass after reading about your daughter. Thats a disgrace making her pay for flights at least Thomas cook arranged new fight at no extra cost all be it outward from Newcastle and returning to Glasgow. Think we should go to Butlins instead!!!
