Hi
My son is 16 and hes got 2 mates aged 17 they are looking to go on holiday this august well the begging of august around 10th. They have been looking for some time now and want somewhere with people there age around 16-18 and lot of bars and clubs. They look to stay for around 10 days and im only willing to pay £300 or maybe £350 as that is all I can afford and I think £350 each is enough for a holiday as they are not looking for luxuries just some cheap flights and somewhere to stay with the above requirements. If anyone could help it would be much apprechiated.
Dan
Does your son or his mates have any friends aged 18 who could go with them?
I was thinking Corfu for them as it is cheap lots of people there age I believe go there and it seems like a ok place for a first holiday for 3 lads what does anyone else think.
Need to check which company they want to book with, somewhere will not taken bookings if there is no one over 18 in the party.
Kind Regards
Stewart
Agree with you danking, I would think "Greece" as well.
So does anyone know anywhere where 16-18 yr olds tend to go for there first holiday at my £350 budget and any links to that sort of price for around 8th august that would be much apprechiated as thompsons tend to be over £350 they are looking to go for around 10 days.
My auntie actually lives in Benidorm, and she does not think it is cheap! Since they have gone into the euro they have noticed a decline in holiday makers. Hotels and apts, and bars etc, are half empty she says. I personally would recommend Magaluff in Majorca. We stayed in Alcudia, but drove down for the day. Seemed reasonable prices for both drink and food.
Have they thought about holidaying in UK? Or why not let them loose on the computer to see what they can come up with?
What about Newquay? Supposed to be great fun for young ones there! I would imagine the weather will be nice aswell.
My daughter has just returned from Kardenema in Kos she said that it was ok. And she enjoyed her holiday. But it was expensive for drinks it was 5 euros in all the bars. She also said that a lot of trouble happened there and she did not like it.
But last year she went to Malia in Crete and they loved it. It was only 3.5 euros a drink and there was no trouble. All the bars stayed open till late. And she now wished she had gone back there again this year.
What about Marmaris in Turkey - Excellent prices, plenty for the lads to do day and night and the Turks are so friendly and great with kids (tho I'm sure they wouldnt appreciate being called kids ) they are sure to look out for the lads.
Try this company for magalluf, offering £299.00 for 7 days 13.08.05:
A good girlfriend of mine went to malta for a week, about 2 weeks ago. This was apparently very good and clubs were good, this came to a total of about £170, so if you go somewhere like that, they would have extra spending money to.
I wouldnt recommend Malta to young lads going abroad. Very quiet and not a lot going on. Zante is beautiful though.
:omg@THE THOUGHT OF IT!
But this may be helpful ... http://195.188.244.12/holidayspy/
Good luck .... you're a braver mum than me
My daughter will be 13 when we go to Protaras next year. She ALSO wants to go to Germany with her school. We fly out on the 19th July, where the school trip is planned for the !0th, the week before! Dont know what to do. After all, it is a "learning" school trip, but we are saving up hard to go to Cyprus! Have mentioned that i dont think she will be going, so we now have her moaning that "all my mates will be going" and the silent treatment. Help!!
She's right though all her friends are probably going and
she is going to feel sooooooo left out. Is there a way you
could let her go? As you say it is a learning trip and the
whole class will be talking about it. I so feel for you both
as it's not an easy decision to make. Could she maybe
earn some money? Sorry not much help I'm afraid

Thats a good idea, earning some extra money. I have just mentioned it, and she seems up for it. I explained with us going on holiday ourselves, we would find it hard to save up for both holidays. Im suprised she agreed! Looks like i will have a helper around the house now!!
They can be so amenable when they want something
but it will also teach her a valuable lesson. She will learn that
the things we most want have to be worked for and hopefully
stand her in good stead for the future.

Does the holiday have to be abroad Newcastle is becoming one of th etop party places and is still reasonably priced.
