Apart from your holiday insurance cover,as far as i am aware there is not a compesation culture or scheme in cyprus wether or not you can take out a private prosicution you will need to speek to an english speeking Cypriot lawyer

Do you have to be attacked in the UK to claim compensation from the criminal injuries board. Brian there is no compensation culture in this country. The people who couldn't afford to go to court in the olds are now doing what the rich have done for years. Studies have shown that compensations claims have been dropping year on year. Its just media hype.

Thats terrible, you must have been very scared. Why dont you seek legal advce over here. Im sure you could find out wether or not you could proceed with bringing these louts to justice. Just out of curiosity, what nationality were they (if you know) and where abouts on Cyprus did this occur? This has suprised me. Hope you are on the road to recovery now.

This happened in Ayia Napa. The main guy was english but I believe he lives out there, and I think he may be a doorman. The rest I believe were Cypriot, and again I think they were doormen judging on the size of them!

doubt if you were attacked like that in britain you would get anything either. why did these men attack you? if it was 15 of them you must have done something to annoy one of them. also ayia napia is a great place, love the clubs out there but you do have to be careful just like anywhere else i suppose
