my sister went to Winmarleigh Hall last year with her school.
She had a really good time and enjoyed all the activities!
when she went her year were split into different groups and each day they would attend a different activity!
at the end of the day there is also a games room where they can socialise!
i'm sure your son will have a fantastic time
hope i gave you some info which has helped
both my daughters have been, the youngest who is 11 went in may of this year.they do canoeing, rock climbing, team building, walks and also they have a death slide.both daughters loved it and would go again at a drop of a hat.bewarned though their clothes and shoes get very muddy and boy do i mean muddy.dont let him take anything of a personal nature ie cd player or mobile phone and make sure he takes his oldest clothes lol.
oh and they have quad bikes too
Thanks for the replies. My son will soooo love the quad bikes! It sounds like a really fun place to stop. Im sure the teachers will enjoy it just as much as the kids!!
lives, they told us the rooms were filthy, they said there was 'poo' in
the sinks and that there were snails on the inside walls because it was
so damp.
They came back saying they were starving and saying they did not get enough to eat, did not stop eating once home, staff who
collected them said the building they waited in to collect the boys was also dirty and they were shocked by this.
The boys have said they never want to go on 'one of those holidays
again' they also said they were made to go to bed at 9pm, which is much
earlier than there normal holiday bedtimes, especially the 13 year old,
both boys said they felt like they were in prison.
we feel so bad, this was there only holiday of the year, and we thought that they would
have a great experiance, the cost of this was extremley high but we
thought it would reflect the quality of the experiance and it would seem
it did not, we have reported this to the area enviromental heath dept
and to the site regulators.
Check before you book, visit the site, ask questions, we dropped these boys off in good faith and we are so sorry we did this.

Incidentally re the issue of bedtime, I can understand why you would want both boys to be in the same group but they divide the age groups into 7-10 / 10-13 / 13-16 and it sounds as if the older boy might have felt more at home in the 13-16 age group where the usual routine is 'in bed by 10.30'.
