....Faliraki?
i'm off there on sat and just wondered what the weathers like out there at the moment and how busy it is?
And also, if anyone can recommend any bars/restaurants/places to visit? that would be great!
xx
We're off to Rhodes tommorrow and apparently the weather at the moment is o.k., although they did have a little rain sometime recently. But Rhodes being Rhodes we should all be fine.
Can't help you with recommendations for Bars in Faliraki however, we always stay in and around Lindos. The good thing though is that your between Rhodes town and Lindos, although considerably nearer Rhodes, and as such could use Faliraki as a base to explore the rest of the island if you don't find anything to suit you there.
I'm sure you will have a great time where ever you go.
Alan.
We came back from Rhodes on Saturday 30 July, and it was hot.
Even the Greeks said it was hot for them.
We stayed in Haraki but had to go through Falaraki to get there and compared to 2 years ago we couldn't believe how dead it was.
A mate from work went the last 2 weeks in June this year and he also said how quiet it was.
He has been a regular visitor to Falaraki, even though he goes with his family and this year he was very surprised.
Rhodes is a beautiful island and if all goes to plan we are moving out there in 2 years time, so pack your case and go with the intention of having a good time and you will, make the most of it and like me you probably won't want to come home.
Have a great holiday, we are off again on the 1 October to friends in Haraki and I am crossing the days off the calendar.
ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Regards
Sarah
HI Gallion
We just back from Lindos in Rhodes it was fantastic there and red hot close to 40 degrees every day We got married in St Pauls Bay and had a great time i would go back there again and again.
We went to Lindos for the first time this year and can understand you getting married out there.
A fantastic island and people to suit, I think you would agree.
All the best to you both.
Regards
Sarah
Are you the one staying at Ano Cambos? It would be interesting to know what you think of the location, and how many were staying there, also have you visited the Atalanti on the headland, and was Peter still at Ano cambos, did he do his famous barbie?
just back yesterday 18th weather out there is hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no rain in the past fortnight asked one of the hotel staff said they had just 1 day of rain in the last 3 months stayed at the esperides beach hotel just outside falaraki will post review of hotel in next few days but it was excellent
just back from Faliraki and yes it was me staying at Ano Kambos. Really nice hotel, located quite far back from the town by cabs easily available and the walk isn't too bad really. Ano Kambos was completely full up and many more arriving when we left, everyone seemed to like it there. Yeah, Peter was still there and his really cute twin girls!
I'd definately go back to Faliraki and probably stay at Ano Kambos again!
Glad you enjoyed it it sounds like it's picked up from when i went two years ago. where the pool is now, that was the lawn back in 95, also the apartments that are nearest the gate weren't there, thats built over where everyone used to sit out, and the bar used to be where the living quarters are now, i thought a nice beach nearby was Ladiko beach. Also to save people the walk into Faliraki, there was a courtesy bus that took you into the town, glad you enjoyed it!
PS that sounds like a nice addition to Peters family!
Returned home from Rhodes just last week. Missing everything and everyone there already. Wonderful island, wonderful people.
Alan.
