Bif as you can see I'm not getting any response to to my posts.I can't believe that nobody else is complaining about the cancelled SCY flights from Manchester to Chania especially when they have gone from lovely day flights to coming back in the middle of the night ,i.e 02.00hrs next day.WE only booked this holiday at beginning of July and I became concerned because I couldn't find this flight being sold on any web site.I'm becoming convinced that this flight had been cancelled or was never released for sale but somehow we got booked on it as away of filling XLA2197 leaving Chania at 23;30 on 30 Aug ,arriving 02;00 next day.I have spoken to Manchester handling and they can't recall seeing this flight schedule.Have you got any suggestions about this and are they allowed to sell flights that don't exist??

If you look on excels website you can see that they have flights from Manchester to Chania on Tuesdays starting from 26th July. Arriving back from Chania at 0200.
Maybe there have been no complaints so far as the schedule is very new, or maybe there have been no cancellations on it

I confused you. We were originally on SCY6621/6622 from Manchester to Chania this flight was cancelled/?never existed when we booked it.We were then put onto the XLA flights which are 8 hours different from original flights and the return flight is now a horrid night flight.I am suspicious about the original flight existing because nobody is comlaining about it and Manchester handling can't recall seeing the schedule!

Hiya, well the flight did exist, and the schedule is showing on Air Scandics website. It doesn't say whether it has now been withdrawn, but maybe there has been a consolidation?

I then rang Manchester handling and they can't remember seeing it scheduled there.Nobody appears to no anything or be prepared to say anything about this flight.I only booked this flight at the beginning of July, wouldn't you have thought somebody could remember something.

Some flights are changed. We have booked for Cyprus in October. according to the brochure the flight out was on Sunday at 10.00 am - When we booked we were told that it was now at 14.00 - The am flight originally had a surcharge for daytime but the pm flight does not. According to Manos at Hellenic Voyages he had not been able to get a proper explanation from Excel for the change. When flights are originally planned I think there is a bit of wishful thinking takes place. At the end of the day there are more companies competing for a finite number of slots. I agree that the changes can make life difficult for people but it is a problem that will not go away.
