Hi Ceejay, go to Rhodes, visit Lindos, do the Jeep Safari also Rhodes Old Town & learn about Knights of St. John. From Rhodes you can hop across to Marmaris in Turkey for the day, well worth a visit. Then there is Santorini, walk up the live volcano & take in the breathtaking views, visit Akrotiri, visit OIA which is where most of the pictures on the post cards are taken. We went to Zante/Zakynthos in May staying in Alykanas at Grape Vines Apartments. We went on the 2 day Trip to Athens, a few days later we went back to the Mainland to visit Olympia both through Dionisos Tours/ TEZ. Crete, you have got the historical site at Knossos. As you can appreciate, you've got a lot to go at !!

Rhodes does sound like a good option just avoid Faliraki!

faliraki isn't all that bad.... I've just returned from there and its not 'bad' like everyone seems to make out.....

I went 18 years ago and it was great!

They make it out to be really awful with the TV programmes and write ups in the paper. Maybe it's just the main town at the height of season. The beach was lovely and we travelled all around the island. Loved Rhodes town and Lindos.

Maybe it was a bad place to go a few years ago, but as this was my first time going there i dont really have anything to compare it too. But from my trip to Faliraki, i didnt see any trouble or anything that has been shown on tv/in the newspapers. Sure enough, there are groups of 18 yrs+ girls/boys, but it didn't seem like anyone was out to cause trouble, just to enjoy their holiday & have a good time.

Its a lovely place; the beach is beautiful and the rest of Rhodes is easily accessible from Faliraki. Great place in my opinion.
