I've just read that a new water park was opened inMarmaris in August 2005.

I was in Marmaris in August 05 and again in October 05 and saw No new waterpark, however the Atlantis waterpark on the beach front did have at least 1 new slide as we had a walk around it one night, so maybe that is what you have read about. Although Atlantis has the better slides, the Star Aqua Park up past Migros is more relaxed AND you can take your own food and drink in!!!

It costs 21 ytl for adults and 14 ytl for kids under 12. there are 10 slides of various sizes for big kids and a lovely water park area for little ones.The wave pool is the best attraction and operates 4 times per day at 12, 2, 3, 4, o'clock.
Food and drink inside are expensive small efes 3.75 ytl, soft drinks the same price A chicken kebab or burger meal is about 12 ytl including a soft drink. You are not allowed to bring food and drink in with you.

Is it warm enough for the water parks the first week in June (or will the water be freeeeeeezing).
Anyone know what time Atlantis opens that time of year, cant find any info on the web site.

Atlantis doesnt usually open its gates until at least the second week in May and start about 09:30 and yes the water will be warm enough

Don't forget there is also a new water park on the hill abobe the Migros but I have not visited yet so can't tell you much about it.

Yes, it is in Marmaris - But opening this season i assume - So thats why you have only read about 2 - This is number 3!!
Will probably give it a go in May if open - So will let you all know how it is compared to Atlantis on my return

The new one actually opened mid September last year though I didn't use it I did pop in with Rami to have a look around and take some photographs for the website(which I deleted 
) and though it looks great there is something about sitting at the bar in Atlantis right on the seafront that attracts me.
We did try the new restaurant up near the new water park and didn't think much of it so went back again to see if it was teething difficulties but still never liked it.

Can you take your own food/drinks into the water parks in Marmaris. In Tenerife last year they searched your bags, we only had a small bottle of water but they took it off us.

I found Atlantis website for Marmaris and it looks very good. Can't seem to find a site for Icmeler Park. I know it is smaller. I have two kids one very adventurous and seasoned veteren of parks in Ibiza and Menorca and the wee lad equally adventurous but not as big as his sister(age 7 and 4). It will be about an hour and a half from Dalyan as well so it would have to be a day trip. Anyone been or have a web address for the one at Icmeler?. Cheers!! 
The water park in Icmeler is no longer there, but there are three in Marmaris
