Welcome to the forum, glad to hear you enjoyed your holiday in Sliema.
The Carlton has recently been converted into a residence for English language students. Should you decide to return for another holiday to Sliema, perhaps you could try the Plaza Regency, just a few doors down on the same promenade. Some of my relatives have stayed there recently, it is about the same standard, or maybe slightly better than the Carlton.
Hope you enjoy your holiday at the Panorama, as its name suggests, you have a wonderful view there. It is just a small fairly quiet hotel, but only a short walk away from Mellieha center where there are some nice bars and restaurants, some with live music in the evenings, should you fancy a change.
