Trying to find a holiday for next July for me, hubby, 3 year old and my mum, leaving from Newcastle. Everytime I think I've found a fab hotel I find it's a max occupancy of 3 in a room (ideally I'd like us together) or when I read reviews there's always a strong negative element. For example, found a fab AI hotel in Rhodes (Kolymbia) which seemed perfect but reading reviews there's a very strong German element - nothing against Germans but would like the kids clubs etc to be in English or allow English kids to participate (which it doesn't). So, now my head is hurting and if I study another description and think 'ooh, that looks good' only to find something major wrong I may cry.
So, has anyone been to the Aegean Blue in Kolymbia - is it really that bad? Or can anyone suggest a great family holiday, not noisy, with good size 4 people room?
I would not hesitate in reccommended Puerto Pollensa, Majorca as a great family holiday destination. It`s also my most favourite place in the world! The Puerto Azul hotel is a Thompson Superfamily hotel and the rooms are all like apartments with a lounge with sofa beds for two and a twin bedroom. It`s close to the beach in a nice quiet position.
Hi koalabear, is it a "brouchered" holiday you are after, or are you planning DIY ??
Hi robby - was hoping to do a package deal type thing - I'm this stressed without the worries and multitude of choices DIY would bring!

I know for a fact they do up to 4 bedroom apartments, and are quite cheap as well.
DIY is not a bad choice, as it gives a bigger selection of hotel choices.

ps; is Whitley Bay out of the question

Check out the reviews and Majorca forum for info.
We have been there several times, it's great for kids, the apartments are spacious with plenty of storage space, you get a fridge (supplement) and sink/cupboards. Table and chairs but with the advantage of half board. It's alos got air-conditioning.
Lots of shops nearby and 5 minute walk to a nice beach with clear shallow water and shaded by pine trees. A great resort for walking out in the evenings. Friendly staff at the hotel...I could go on.....
Heaven!!!!!
