We were at the PP 25th August until 9th Sept. If i'm correct the last lazer and foam show was on Thursday 1st Sept. The reps said FC would no longer fund them. There's still a bonfire, disco and fireworks though.
Sorry to dissappoint.

Thats still good, kids love the fireworks, foam does get a bit messy, so maybe a good thing!!

Im going Monday too and am so excited, looks like we are going at the right time, most of the problems seem to be sorting themselves out. Hopefully it will be less busy. This site has been great for information and I have been glued for months. Thanks to all who have shared their views.

I presume noone knows about the DVD players in the select rooms?

Also, does anyone know if there are laundry facilities?
Reply
I seem to recal from previous reports there are no laundry facilities except from maid service.

As for the dvd players they should be in jaquzi suites but people have had to ask fro them. Kids dens have PS2 in them which should play dvds and cd's etc.

Hi, from what i can remember, plastic bags were left in the room if you wanted to use the laundry facilities and the maids would take the bags and return them...not sure how much it cost........also you may need to ask the rep for your dvd or ps2 not sure they are always left in the room....think it was £150 deposit for ps2....but only one controller

Hi All,

Got back from the Palace on Friday and I can say We had a fantastic holiday. There was just my boyfriend and myself and we had a jacuzzi suite at the Palace which was lovely, huge bed, separate lounge and lovely balcony looking over one of the smaller pools (which they light up at night) We spent most of our days at this pool which was very quiet.

The beach I thought was fantastic (just my opinion!)

Even though the hotel was very busy the only time we noticed it was on the Friday when we had a mini hurricane and rain and everyone was packed into the inside areas (there aren't too many!!)

Food i thought was great, maybe could do with being a little hotter but the doner kebabs were lovely!!

Do not miss the all inclusive cruise it was the best day out I have ever had even though we did see a jelly fish!!!!!!!! We are even thinking about doing a week long gulet cruise next year.

Money wise, we did spend quite alot but only because I had to have handbags and watches etc!!!!

One piece of advice is: take £5 notes and £10 notes as the market traders dont like giving change and would rather give you goods instead which means you end up with stuff you don't want.

They have a small market on a Tuesday night so if you dont have a chance to go out you can get your presents then!!

Any question let me know but as I said we had a fantastic time and I wish I was still there.

Just go with an open mind and you'll have a great time and yes I would go back again with no doubt.

xx

:!: I came back from the Palace on Monday and I thought the place was brilliant! I have a 5 year old daughter and she just loved it! She didnt even go into the kids club because there was so much to do in the hotel that she was never bored! The evening entertainment was fab for the kids and we are still listening to the CD every night! Snow white is hilarious! Food got a bit boring after a while but it was ok! The photographer is brilliant, he hangs around the resteraunt at evening meal, make sure you let him take your pic cos they are dirt cheap to buy and the are exellent! For shopping i waould recommend the Marmaris shopping trip! As it is end of season everything is going for a fare price (watches, jeans, sunglasses etc) If you want a little peace and quiet go onto the family cruise, the entertainers are great on that!
That mini hurricane was very scary, i was shaking, but the weather was great when we left!
Enjoy 8)

Hi IT Barbie,

When we left on Thursday they were still playing football on the pitches and I saw a couple of the soccer school reps walking around so I would say that it is still running.

The evenings when we were there we lovely but I would suggest a light cardie if you sre staying up later as it get fairly breezy about 10 ish.

I agree Nicki the hurricane was scary but quite exciting we went to the beach after it and all the sunbeds had blown up the beach and the little hut had lost it's roof!!

Anyone still to go have a great time, if you want a quieter pool use the ones by the Jacuzzi suites they were lovely

Looking forward to going to pp on 17th Oct. Can anyone tell me best days out for family with 2 boys 11 and 7. Is it much cheaper for me to book in Sarigerme? Have heard they do a jeep safari, is this ok for someone not into thrills and spills, don't quite know what it involves. Would love idea of prices please.

Thanks

We would fully recommend the Jeep Safari. We didn't think it would be for us but had an amazing day out and got to see some of the real Turkey away from the resort. We booked with FC at the Palace at a cost of £23 per head though i understand Sarigerme Tours and Volavar do the Jeep Safari from Sarigerme at a lesser price.
With the FC jeep safari you get picked up and set down at your hotel and get given a terrific lunch across a river.
Be prepared to get wet!!
If both your boys are swimmers (if not life Jacket supplied) i would also recommend the AI Gullet Cruise, £22 each with FC, again picked up and set down with no added extra costs other than tips for the boat skipper and coach driver. You get to see a bit of Gocek when you walk from the coach to your boat.

We are going to the Tropical in just under 3 weeks time. My wife is interested in the trip to Pamukkale (the thermal springs are there I think).

Can anyone let me know if a trip there, can be booked from the hotel or anywhere local.
Reply
Didn't See it advertised through FC but is available through Sarigerme Tours. I beleive it involves at least one overnight stay as it's quite a distance from the PP, PT

First choice offer this as one of their trips from the Pegasos. It is a double trip to both Ephesus and Pamukkale.

It is a 2 night trip inc. an overnight stay. It was £60 pp when we were there in July, but very few people went, as the weather was so hot, didnt fancy Ephesus in the heat!!
Can't say I blame them, but it might be ok now, the weather has cooled a bit. :D
We did this trip 17 years ago, whilst on a trip to Turkey, Pamukkale was fantastic, hope you have a good time.
