Hi, back from Tolon a few weeks now. Miss Greece like hell.

Tolon as a resort was not bad, over developed the Guide book were right.

We stayed in the Keloni Club Apartment, very disappointing.

First reaction was to run out of the room screaming, small, very small, not very clean, had to clean before we used anything. The room were only cleaned every 3 days and as we were leaving the day after cleaning day, our room was not cleaned, that means the rubbish bin in the room a few feet from where you slept and worst the toilet paper left for 4 days, unless you took your rubbish to the main bin yourselves.

They had Solar Panels to heat the hot water, which basically meant hardly any hot water in the morning, if you wanted a warm/hot shower had to wait till around 5:00pm, just as well it was very hot and a warm shower was all you wanted.

The room was so small and so hot in the heat of the day that you had to have the Air Conditioning on and at 6 euros a day very expensive. I wonder what they would say if they came to Britian in Winter and asked for the heating to be switched on and we said sorry that will be extra!

Some people complained and were moved.

The steep hill was steep, no good for anyone with walking problems.

The pool area was good although we never used it, the Sea was close and so clean you could not resist.

The people at the Apartments were lovely though and the area was a good base for touring the area.

I would go back to Tolon met some nice people there, but I would never return to the Kleoni Club, sorry.

The Esperia Hotel look one of the better prospects, on the flat and just across the road from the beach and I heard no extra charge for Air Conditioning.

I would definitely check where any future Apartments were if I went there again, as most were up very steep hills.

Still 2 weeks in Greece nothing can really spoil that now can it, even though it has become very expensive, shame on the Euro.
