I would say Rhodes - Faliraki, Zante - Laganas, Crete - Malia, Stalis or Corfu - Kavos if nightlife, boozy cocktails, lazy days on the beach is all you are after.
I went this summer & its nothing like its made out to be; great place & good atmosphere, great nightlife & a really nice beach.
That sounds good, what was the food like claire in faliraki
Polar,I went to Faliraki-10 years ago though but it was a beautiful beach and good bars.Food was as Greek or as English as you like.Obviously in that time it's changed but we went in September(7th) and it was a great holiday. We're having a change too from Cyprus and are off to Santorini next August. My mum and dad rave about Kefalonia for beaches.
The food varied in Faliraki Polar, you can get everything from traditional greek food to Macdonalds!
Whats kefalonia like for nightlife / food
I stayed in Lassi which was really quiet. We were still in the pool at 7pm when everyone else was on their way out for the evening. We were the last one's in the restaurants.
We used to walk to Argostoli the capital where there is a large pedestrian square which was full of restaurants and bars. A lovely island but not the livliest.
The food was a variety so it depends what you like. I don't eat meat but still found plenty to eat as I love fish and salad and rice etc.
What sort of thing are you looking for?
