If you want to get away from the very touristy areas of Spain then just down the road from Reus is the small village of Masruidoms.

La Hospitalet de L'Infant and Miami Playa are nearby and are very picturesque.

Also not far from Port Aventura.

We stayed in some apartments called "Montana 3" which are owned by a British couple, Ray and Liz Smith. They make great hosts!

Well worth visiting in my humble opinion.
