Calling anyone who has been to this park. I have made a provisional booking with canvas holidays for next august. If anyone has any information on this site, weather in august and travelling by car from calais, could you please let me know.
thanks
carol
We stayed in this site with a touring caravan about 6 years ago and liked it very much. There is a lake that the kids can mess about on, and a games room which was very popular & if I remember a Video room and a reasonable swimming pool. The pitches were a good size ( at least ours was). This is quite a large site.
It's a good centre for touring the chateaux.... I think we saw azay le rideau, Chenonceau and Amboise on that holiday & Tours is a lovely town with a nice medieval centre.
We were there in July & weather was very good, but we travelled from Cherbourg & it was very manageable in a day (towing).
Hope this is some help.
We stayed at this site last year - Unfortunately for us it rained for 2 weeks in August....but don't let that put you off .... Summer weather in the Loire is normally very good (though not as guaranteed as the Med).
With an early Ferry crossing to Calais you'll easily get to this site by mid to late afternoon. (Motorway via Paris)
You'll love the site and be especially pleased with the Canvas Hols accommodation
There are loads of places to visit in the area (by car).
If you get Chateau'd out and zoo's are your cuppa - The one about an hour's drive eastwards is outstanding

We've used this site for a stop over on the way to and from the south. Nice friendly small site. Quite quiet.
Nice pool. Lake was a bit grubby. We went in july.
The drive from norfolk through the 'chunnel' was just right.
Enjoy take or hire bikes.
