We got back from Tossa on Saturday after having a wonderful time. It was everthing we hoped it would be. Already we are planning our next visit hopefully in June next year. We stayed in the Tossa park and found it to be very nice and we had no problems. A lot of our evenings were spent in the Bar Sant Miguel 'Karin' on C/ Sant Miguel, Karin and Carlos made us very welcome and we had fun trying to converse in 3 languages as Karin is German, give it a go and tell them Kath sent you !! The weather was perfect and we spent lots of afternoons having a drink at one of the many bars along the front just watching the world go by, I just wish we had discovered Tossa years ago and I am sure we will be making many more visits
Glad you both had a great time. We stayed at the Tossa Park too Eagle, I'm already thinking about going again, as we got an absolute bargin. I also wish we'd discovered Tossa a few years ago too. July seems like a life-time ago! My tan has already faded dramtically!
We are thinking of returning next year as we enjoyed it that much, we must have passed each other eagle a few times, or even sat in the same bar on the front, watching the world go by, oh well back to the real world
Glad you all enjoyed Tossa. How was the weather in September? We are planning to go back next year and it will probably be in September, we have stayed at the Don Juan the twice we have been there, and loved it, but are considering self catering (or bed and breakfast) so that we can get out and about and try a few of the restaraunts as the food looks so good!
The weather was great, one bad day, we went 13th to 27th and it was fine lovely and sunny
Hi Rosie, we were there at the same time! We flew from Birmingham 27th September, and after a delay due to French air traffic control got home this morning (via Luton!) It was our first time to Tossa and we stayed in the Golden Bahia - what a fab hotel. I can only echo what you put in your report. I absolutely loved Tossa, and spent ages wandering around the old town and cobbled streets. It was so quaint and beautiful. Will definitely be returning in the future. Glad you had a good time too.
Is there plenty of shops and bars?
In Villa Vella, which is the old part of the town near the castle, there are lots of shops. There are some nice bars along the sea front, but in the back streets they tended to be more cafe bars or restaurants. Hope this helps.
