Don't know where you are situated but we fly from Stanstead takes slightly over an hours flight. Enjoy
Hi Stupot, thanks for that. Yes Prague sounds great judging by other reports. Do you know who flies there from Stansted. I don't think Ryan Air do, and haven't yet checked Easy jet. Many thanks.
Our day trip was actually an organised trip through Going Places. Or other visit we flew with Czech Airlines. Try Air Berlin don't know if they fly to Prague, but worth a look, they are very reasonable.

I suspect if you go there for a day trip you will want to go back for a longer stay, we did!!!
I don't know where you live. If you lived in the south then Bath Travel do a wide selection of day trips. They have a web site and they do a lot of differnt destinations which change regularly.
We have done a day trip to Venice(had to go back again for a long weekend - superb) and I did a day trip to Cairo(!)
They are a very well organised company with their own aircraft under Palmair BUT they only fly out of Bournemouth Airport.
Thanks for the info. Will czech it!!! By the way what sort of costs are incurred for travel to and from the airport. We would travel from Stansted or possibly Luton as we live in East Anglia. Also does anyone know if Seville is within an hour of the airport, and costs etc. Cheers all.
Have you thought of spending a day in BADEN BADEN (Ryanair)? Visit the thermal baths, enjoy a nice meal and hit the shops ... or nearer to Christmas I am sure that there will be a Christmas market!
You could also visit FREIBURG via Baden Airpark (a bus service meets Ryanair flights) and there's a lot to see - department stores, great Christmas market, inspiring open air market (mornings) the Cathedral and the sausage stalls .......
Auf Wiedersehen, pet!
This company offer daytrips with a chartered aircraft to give you maximum time and add on city tours if you want them:
We flew from Stansted to Seville in the end. We left here when it was freeszing in mid Nov and arrived to 24' heat. We got a taxi from airport into Seville about 15mins and cost E15 /£ 10. We decided to walk the sights as it was such a lovely day. We went to the Giralda Cathedral and Tower- not to be missed and the Royal Alcazar. The Plaza de Espana is another beautiful place. You can still get horse and carriage rides around the main sights at that time of year and they are kinder to your feet. We ate in an outside cafe at 5.30pm when it would have been dark by 5.00 here. It was still light until 7.00pm! Shops still close for siesta and reopen later. We then caught a bus back to the airport that cost E8/£5 for 4 of us. All in all an excellent day trip and a beautiful city.
