Hi all,
I wonder if everyone is missing Turkey as much as me - I have been back now for 8 weeks and every day wish I was back again.
There is someone there who stole my heart (and no Im not a gullible young girl!) there is no chance for us to be together we both know that - but I am finding it hard to let go.
Anyway, still cant wait to return next year.
Here you are, this is off my other site I visit if its ok with admin.
Who says romance is dead!
i know exactly how you feel chick, i have been back 5 weeks and its sooo hard to get back into life here because there its so much better! miss everyone there loads too! wish i could go back sooner but ive got to wait like 10 whole months!!!!! how will i survive
You'll survive by visiting HT everyday and reliving your holiday all over again on a daily basis until the time comes for you to pack your cases and sit ur ass on the plane!!
I've been back for 11 days and I really wish I was still there. I just Loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Had the same feeling as you last year on return, hubby got so fed up he told me to rebook if I got a good price... I did, so re-booked for sept 05...
Unfortunately, are holiday was cancelled by t/cook..... but we did take the only other offer....not a patch on sept 04.......
Turkey itself was beautiful as ever..... We only ever been to Side, and it's beautiful... the little harbour is so lovely, and the history is amazing.. Did a shopping trip to Antanyla back in spet o4 and again, and beautiful place...
I watched a special on Turkey on t/cook tv (sky) the other day, and wanted to be there......still have my tan as only been back over 2 and half weeks, but even that's starting to fade........
snow-white
I know exactly how you feel....I have been back for just over 2 weeks now and I too am feeling really miserable!!
It was my 13th visit and I should know how it feels and get used to it really but I never can.....I always feel more miserable this time of year though as you know in your heart it's a while before you go again...also the horrible weather is drawing in here.....
Missing all my friends in Alanya loads and still in contact with a lot of them....makes you feel better knowing that they are ok.....
...anyway...2006 is getting closer and we will all be there again soon
Take care xx
OMG i'm gonna cry now been back 12 days and have booked for a fornight next year we usually gor for a week but this was the first time in 6 years i didn't wanna come home ....My kids are calling me the Turkey demon coz i have been so snappy since i came home ....omg another 11 1/2 months its gonna kill me ....ok on a lighter note .....its only 350 days not that bad ........
He found a very attractive girl (16) from Birmingham or around there and he wouldn't let her go very easily!
yes know how you feel. Been back four weeks and wish I was still there. Even booked my next trip for June next year. Felt better when I booked it but then last night my husband went through how many months it was and we both ended up depressed!!!! Still, once Christmas has gone then is the time to really look forward to it and that's not far away now.
Had a superb time out there and will write some more after ive had some sleep, been up since 0800 thursday!!!!!!!

we olnly got home at 5 30 this morning had to go straight to hospital as mother in law had a massive stroke yesterday, wish we could still be there it was nice to see how different it was in oct after being there in july
Oh dear - just the thought of winter. I for one am struggling not to count the weeks to being in Icmeler again - not til next July, Im not as lucky as some and cant afford to go more than once a year!.
Still, cant wait to be back again. Seems we all have the "turkey bug"
As someone once said before on HT each time you return from your trip to Turkey you leave a little bit more of your heart behind and it's true.

Been back one week today and as my dad said to me before, it's only 49 weeks till we go back bless him he's on the countdown already
I always miss Turkey when i get home. My daughter had a Turkish boyfriend for 3 years but that ended over a year and a half ago. She came on holiday this year and once again she's smitten with a Turkish lad, who is lovely, she's planning on going to see him in January!! Iloveyou, name that is not me being forward , where there's a will there's a way??? Several people on this site have Turkish husbands.
No - there's no way for me, but its better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all, I'm glad I met my friend, but thats all we can be, friends and we both know it.
Even without the blokes , I miss Turkey. If I don't get there at least once in the summer I feel homesick for it.
Elaine
I know what you mean - I can honestly say that Turkey is the only place that I really didnt want to leave behind at the end of the holiday. I have never felt so much at home. Cant wait for next July.
