depends what time of year and where you are heading for in Turkey.
the ferry routes from Brindisi are closed in the winter time. So you need to go through Greece. Try auto assoc for best route. ..dont forget the snow chains.

asked about this in Bitez when we were considering buying there. The lady we were dealing with (English)said to allow 3 days for the journey travelling via greece. She did say that unless you definately want your own wheels there, it is expensive.
Another item you may not have considered is that importation of your vehicle will be entered on your passport docs and you must take it with you when you leave. So, if you do stay and live there you may be liable to pay some form of import duty if you wear your vehicle out and leave it or sell it there.
When I asked about driving via Kosova, Bulgaria etc into Istanbul she said that it would be very unwise to do this.
However 2 years ago an elderly gent from bradford did exactly this in a small Citroen campervan travelling to calis Beach to see his "lady friend", stayed overnight and set off back!
Now that is Romance with a capital "R"

del has made a good point ..you can only keep your vehicle for 6 months..but if you want to leave Turkey within those six months the car has to go out with you.

Hi jayjay.I have been driven FROM Bodrum Turkey to UK !
2 DAYS ! stopping to sleep for a few hours in Erdine on Turk/Greek border and Como Switzerland.Other than the 2 stops it was non -stop.
Be careful. If you are bringing goods in you can be stopped indefinely(days) at the Turkish border whilst the contents are inspected and then taxed.
You may end up paying more tax than buying new in Turkey.
And as the last person said on message ..............your vehicle cannot stay in Turkey.3 months only.
I would not recommend going through Bulgaria or Rumania.
It sound stupid but they have bandits !
TRUE ! (friend was robbed going this route)
And you cannot carry excess fuel with you.
Through Greece you have to go over Mount Olympus and the snow markers near the top are really high !(I passed them in October )

Think very carefully before you do this trip ! :(
