Hi has anyone been to Kulusuk, Ittoqqortoormiit, Ilulissat or Kangerlussuaq? I am planning a varied activity trip and need some advice. I won't post the questions just now as i'm sure there wont be much response for this little visited beauty!
Thanks
Alison
You could try Explore Worldwide, they visit Greenland!
Thanks for the responses. I do have the LP guide to Greenland and visited lots of websites. I am wondering if anyone has been as I have some unanswered questions that even the flipping tourist board don't answer! Personal accounts would be good. We are planning on doing this independantly in winter.
Well we have been to Kangerlussuaq and Ilulissat. Was fantastic. Highly recommended for a different and spectacular travel destination. Highlights were dogsledding with local inuit (dogsledding here is not a tourist thing, its a way of life), sailing amongst the biggest icebergs I have seen (literally town sized!), visiting Rodebay - a small secluded settlement, visiting russel glacier where it was -50 and getting frostbite (ok maybe not a highlight!), and walking on the icecap.
Any questions and i'd be happy to oblige.
Ali
