Was you out there last year at the time of the fa cup replay between our 2 teams?? watched the first half in Barratz Bar then went back to room to watch 2nd half.Fell asleep, but woke up when the pens were on!! 
was there about the same time as I'm going this time.... Day I got home went straight to highbury for the palace game... God it was cold!!!! 
maybe we will meet in the 4th round again!!
friends of ours booked a month at the Nizmar with Travelbag on 26th Jan. They have now been advised that the hotel is closed for refurbishment and have booked somewhere else. Possibly they have the wrong end of the stick but has anyone else heard the same?

We are due to stay at the Nixmar in four weeks....somebody please tell me this isn't true!

Iwill be amazed if this is true. It's a very busy hotel and I can't see them closing for refurbishment in the middle of the season. I smell a rat somewhere!!! Alan
On reflection Alan I think you are probably right. They have booked with Travelpack and are now staying at the Mariott in Panjim I think. The female half of the couple wanted to go there originally...hmmmm...

Have emailed but got no reply, will ring my tour operator tomorrow to see if they are any the wiser...am sure it's just a rumour but on the other hand due to stay there in four weeks and so best to be sure everythings on track i suppose.
Hi, just had it confirmed by my tour operator that the Nizmar is NOT closed for refurbishment. Apparently it's one of the busiest hotels and the chances of getting in there now are slim but they are not closed....phew!!!!!!
Well at least that's sorted. I did email them but they must be too busy to reply!

Looking at a change this year.Thinking of the Nizmar.Interested in the location re restaurants beach etc.Cannot seem to find it on any of the maps I have seen.Stayed in Calangute a few years ago but I bet it is a bit different now.
