This may sound like a really stupid question, but hubby and I are going on our first snow / winter holiday very soon. We're all kitted out with good ski wear etc, but I've just had a thought about what we'd be expected to wear at the hotel at night!?!
If we were going to somewhere hot and sunny that wouldn't be an issue (!) - I'm guessing that as it's a 4 start hotel we'll be expected to be in smart casuals and no jeans?
Any help appreciated
Thanks folks
Jeans will be no problem in a 4 star hotel. Ski hols are far more casual than a summer holiday. If you are too dressed up, you might feel a bit uncomfortable. Have fun!
Thanks for that - we will !
It will depend in what Country you will be in. In Austria a 4 star Hotel might expect a Gentleman to have a jacket, possibly not a tie. Why not check with the Hotel?
In every hotel , nightclub , bar, restruant, 4 stars included, in every country I have skied in, Italy, Austria, France, Andorra, it has been acceptable to wear smart/casual attire, jeans, jumpers, open neck shirts, cords. It is much more expected to dress like this when on a skiing holiday than it is to dress formally.
