Don't know Tsambika Studios but do know Stegna beach area fairly well. It's a good base if you want a really quiet, relaxed holiday. There's a couple of tavernas on the beach and a few more if you head up into the nearest village Archangelos.

The beach is very nice, sand with some shingle and has sunloungers, beachside taverna and watersports available. It is a popular beach for daytrippers though big enough to never be crowded.

Hi Kmann if you do a search on this site for Stegna you will find lots of info- also try looking on Holdays Uncovered for info re the apartments . We stayed there for 2 weeks last Sepetember (Salora Appts) its a great resort still charming and 'local' and the beach is lovely - the sea is crystal clear and safe for bathing . Our only criticism was that once you are there unless you have transport it was difficult to 'escape' as it is at the bottom of a long and winding steep road. There is one bus am and one bus pm and taxis' aren't just driving through - you have to book them to come down to you. That said we really didn't want to escape anyway!!

Is it far to walk to archangelis

I have been looking for reports on Stegna and looked on your resort reports but there seems to be most other areas of Rhodes but no Stegna
Would love to see something on Stegna there-any chance?

Not far to Archangelos, i'd definitely say it's walking distance but it is uphill most of the way.

Love to see more photos of stegna I have exhausted the web and I haven't really found that much on Stegna
Are we talking 20 mins walk or more to village.
What is the weather like in May

I've not walked it personally, whenever i've visited Stegna beach it's been by car as i lived on the west coast. I'd say 20-30 minutes at a guess, it takes about 5 mins by car and as i said it's a good hill so obviously i wouldn't be driving at much of a speed.

I often visit in May and the weather is generally very good. Mid to high 20s during the day so good sunbathing weather. It can cool down a bit at night so i'd take a light jacket or a couple of long sleeved t-shirts but i have known some very warm nights even in May. The only downside so early in the season is that the sea is still pretty cool.

Its a heck of a walk up! I've walked down from Archangelos, but thankfully someone stopped and gave us a lift on the way back up! Can't remember how long it took, time wise - it was 12 years ago!
