Hi Guys.
Been to Benidorm 4 times, most recently in 09/05. But am looking to jet away this Sunday 22/01 for a short break.
What is the weather like? Being in Scotland anything over 5'C is doing good!! Are places such like "Steptoes" and "Talk of the Coast" open and shwoing the usual acts? I'm guessing it will be people of the more mature generation residing at this time of year? No peeps around 20?
Any info at all guys will be very much appreciated!
Cheers.

We went in January 3 years ago and had the most brilliant weather. It was warm and sunny during the day and I only wore a light cardigan on an evening. All the main bars were open, but some of the smaller ones were closed. And yes most guests were 50plus but great fun!
Last two days were really nice and hot in the sun. Cool at nights though.
I'm going there on Sunday too, just had a pm from a HT member and says most of the clubs open at moment. Steptoes 1 closed for hols but Steptoes 2 open. I think valentines is closed also. Most of rest open but sometimes with a reduced act line up. Wheeltappers has a full bill!.
and its been 20 years since we have been to benidorm, could anyone tell us what weather to expect and also any trips we should go on,places to visit etc.we are there for a week but love to explore.
any help welcome
we were there last year if you get a chance watch the procession of the feast of the three kings in the old town on the 6th it is a must see they put on a great show with live animals my daughter was amazed with the tiger cub they walk on a leash do not forget your camera. we are ther ourselves on the 4th. the weather last jan was pretty good dont think it went below 65f
I take it that you haven't glanced at my video thread then?

A slight correction, it takes place on the evening of the 5th Jan.
I didn't like that tiger cub being paraded on a leash, the poor thing was scared poo less and that leash just got tighter...but I have a "thing" about tigers....sorry
See you there then
Sanjiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
thanks for correcting me sanji, got a bit carried away the 6th is the holiday is it not the parade takes place on the 5th.any way it is a not to be missed occasion would you not a agree. had a look at your video thread thought it was very good,
Yes, I do agree that it is something not to be missed, I'm looking forward to this years parade, although it is going to be quite a rush, as we come home early on the 6th.
Let's just hope it doesn't rain.
Sanjiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
sanji that is the worst four letter word you could use on this site.
We usually stay in the Presidente but my mam fancies a change
Can anyone suggest somewhere really nice in the same area
We need somewhere that is accessible to a degree as i use a wheelchair but can walk a bit
Ive seen the Marina at a good price - Is that the one with the grey marble walls, im aware that the spanish pensioners will be there in force and want somewhere where there is plenty of English about.
Thanks
go for the calypso i will be there on that date.see you about.good for wheelchairs ect.
http://www.holidayroomsdirect.com for Hotel Marina, full board works out at £109 each, to good to miss!!!! regards - Sue
Hello there, just booked flight for 17th Jan, and got a really good deal with
We fly out 16 Jan just looked at the 10 day forcast and it looks very good (HOOOORAY).Two weeks S/C for £130 each flyts and appartments and transport not bad ay?
Hubby and I escaping for 5days in Jan!!! What do I take???!!! Will a cardi suffice at night or will I need heavier like a fleece or jacket (bleedin' hope not )
Starting off cool early morning and warming up nicely around 11 am (ish) in the sunshine.
Need a cardi early morning especially in the shade, then by mid day, shorts and T-shirts.
Around 5pm (ish) as the sun goes down, the temperatures drop and you notice it more because of the wide differences between day and evening temps....in the summer months there is not a lot of difference between day & night temps.
On average it's between 5 and 8 degrees C, the lowest point being in the early hours, so you def will need a coat at night, as I have known it drop to 2 degrees C.
By the end of the holiday, you could get a job as a stripper, the clothes are off and on more times than sticky Vicky.
Sanjiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Thanks Sanji.
Hi sanji where you staying over the xmas and new year period. There is going to be 26 of us ....family .. there for a week for the new yr.As we couldnt get the one hotel due to some with kids we are between the hotel orange , calypso , and the ambassador looking forward to it once again mazza
hello gang, looking to go for a weekend in jan with the missus without the kids and was a bit concerned to read that the clubs don't have as many acts on and some are'nt even open .. did anyone go last jan and if so .. break the news to me gently ..
Yep....we were there for a few days early Jan. Weather was really nice, most of the clubs and bars with live acts on were open, but with perhaps one less act on each, and closing a little earlier if quiet. The odd one was closed for a few weeks, i think valentines and steptoes 1 were closed when we were there, but most others open. Some of the bars in the old town are actually busier in winter than summer. I'm sure you will find more than enough to keep you occupied!
