A good enough new article on the Guardian website:

Liked Datca & Kalkan, but less happy with Marmaris. Ah, well, these snooty middle class Guardian writers...

Excellent report Tony and I can vouch for Datca being a beautiful area as that is another of our day trip places when I am in Turkey.
I couldn't get into that web site but will try again later. I'd love to read what they say about Datca. I have been visiting there for about the last 14 years and now have a holiday home there. I love many parts of Turkey but this place still takes my breath away. there is something magical about it. For anyone who wants to visit it's about an hour from Marmaris on the bus. Also 2 hours on a ferry from Bodrum. Very few package tours go there but do it yourself, there are plenty of hotels that you can book on the internet and plenty of flights to Dalaman. The hotels will sort you out with a transfer, expect to pay around £70 each way for a mini bus. They say once you have visited Datca you will keep returning.
