I want to book and go to goa at the end of march for 2 weeks (17th-31st) or 24th-7th).
Thing is i am on a small budget (£300-400). My queries are
A) is it cheper to get a flight and then seperate accomodation (and of so can anyone advise any companies)
B) will the later part of march be more expensiv due to the easter holidays?
please be generous with you comments, i am really desperate!

they do holidays as well I found magnum for a good price for 7 nights
I just booked 2 weeks in Candolim leaving from Gatwick and staying at The Prazeres.
Travelling from the 16th - 31st March 2006.
Flight was £ 340
Accommodation was £ 115 per person B & B for 14 nights based on 2 sharing.
The flight I booked through Sunmasters (Stewart) 01274 442188
Accommodation I booked direct with Amol (one of the front desk guys) at The Prazeres by e-mail to prazeres@satyam.net.in
I'm sure I could have found the accommodation cheaper but we like the Prazeres.
It takes a day or so to get a reply from the hotel and you'll have to barter the rate down. I'm sure you could barter the flight too but there are 10 of us travelling and it was important that we all got the same flight.
When I was looking at packages it did get more expensive again departing after the 16th. I think the cheapest was departing around the 4th March.
Vegasone, lipstick lady just found a flight for 240 return 2 weeks 9th March.
I have booked to go on 24th March for 2 weeks at Osborne Resort in Calangue with Somak Holidays for £359 (from Manchester) Gatwick Departure was cheaper. Booked with Hays Travel.
do you think its cheaper in a package booking or seperates?
has anyone bokoed withs sunmasters, they do appear to be cheap although i am wary!!
Only me it seems......getting worried now!!
we booked our flights to Goa with Sunmaster last year - no complaints and have used them for european holidays to.
Thank you for your recent enquiry. Please find below the details of your holiday quotation to Mombasa.
17 March 2006 Gatwick / Goa MON4724 1810 - 0910
18 March 2006 14 nights Dona Alcina 2* on Bed & Breakfast/ Standard room
01 April 2006 Goa / Gatwick MON4725 1050 - 1645
The cost of the above itinerary is GBP 509 per person based on two people sharing a twin / double room. Flights are with Monarch Airways on economy.
The price is inclusive of all flights, transfers, and board basis as specified.
Other than that it's about what I have been quoted for that period from tour operators.
Calangute might be alittle cheaper, if not it's flight and hotel separately I'm afraid.
2* Bed & Breakfast

Departs London Gatwick (LGW) on 19 Mar 2006 at 13:30
Flight No: MON2682
Returns Goa (GOI) on 03 Apr 2006 at 12:15
Flight No: MON2683
this one works out at £337 each if your not too fussy about accommodation with http://www.flydeals.co.uk
Have phoned sunmaster and they upped the price from £270! They said the cheaper prices are allocation on arrival!!!!!!!!!!! Should i take a chance as they have said 3*????????
I`m going with flydeals as above and from Manchester on 23rd(arrive 24th) staying at Renton manor and it cost us £303 each for 2 weeks. The hotel doesn`t have rave reviews but at that price i`m prepared to risk it as i can find something else if its that bad .
I want something for 6 march any midlands to goa flight only or package
the flights are going up every day I look
Vegasone. Flights always go up every time I look and thank God for that, I say. lol
I'm sure you could find a decent cheap double room if the accommodation allocated was really that bad. After all the season is coming to an end.
Also, if you wish, ask for Stewart at Sunmaster and tell him Cliff flying Monarch out of Gatwick on the 16th March (that's me) gave you his name, he's had at least 10 (and could be as many as 15) bookings through me over the last couple of weeks, which might help to swing a bit more discount.
They're running a business and if you don't ask for extra discount, you won't get it!!
Try Thomson, I booked with them going in April for 2 weeks and got flight, transfers, accom b&b bases etc for £509!
Is that each person?
